Toad Hall

Toad Hall can comfortably accommodate up to 160 guests is our estate’s main banquet hall.   This authentic, African thatched complex boasts high ceilings, natural light, retractable doors opening onto spacious outdoor patios overlooking our manicured gardens.  During summer months, this complex is cool with air-conditioning and during the winter months the banquet hall provides heating and 2 impressive fire places boasting a blend of charm and elegance.

Toad Hall provides exclusive use of various additional venue options for your ceremony and post service; namely the Toad Chapel, Toad Gardens and Gazebo, Rose Chapel and Gardens.

Toad Chapel

Toad Chapel is a quaint traditional Olde English-style Chapel in a tranquil garden accommodating up to 160 guests. Along the pathway to Toad Chapel, a vintage Bell is rung to announce the bride’s approach to Toad Chapel, bringing the most discerning hearts to tears of happiness as the doors open to the view of the man of your dreams and your special guests.

Outdoor weddings, Gourmet Picnic or Harvest Table

Toad Gardens and Gazebo, Rose Chapel and Gardens, Wildwood Brasserie & Forest Chapel

Host a contemporary, delectable outdoor picnic for your wedding, amidst our tranquil, picturesque gardens, with rolling lawns and a wonderland of lakes and rivers. Keeping within the tradition of elegance and fine dining and adding in the element of a casual lifestyle, there are three picnic areas available for you to enjoy, relax and unwind.  Our bedouin stretch tent, garden tables, director chairs, picnic blankets with cushions bring spectacular style to your wedding with decadent picnic-style cuisine served in quaint wicker baskets to compliment your outdoor wedding reception.

In the event of unforeseen weather conditions, the wedding will be moved to Toad Hall.

Intimate Weddings

Bijou Restaurant, Otter’s Deli, Badger’s Boma or Wildwood Brasserie

We know and understand that you may choose to pamper guests who are intimately special in your lives, rather than hosting a large or lavish wedding.  Toadbury Hall Country Hotel caters for small intimate weddings from 10 to 80 guests dependent on the venue of your choice.

Enjoy exclusive use of Toad Chapel or Rose Chapel for your ceremony. If the weather is favourable; your guests can be seated in the gardens overlooking the ponds, lakes, manicured gardens and rolling lawns.

Wine & Bar

Guests provide us with their requirements for the provision of either a full bar, wine, malt, soft drink bar or a cash bar. Our guests are welcome to set a limit on the total bar expenditure for their account. In order to maintain control of this account, we are willing to supply a regular reconciliation of the bar account during the function. An updated list of bar prices is available on request and wine orders need to be placed two weeks prior to a function.

No wines, spirits, beers or soft drinks may be brought onto the premises.

Suites for the couple

Our beautiful luxury suites ensure a romantic start to your honeymoon, and your future life as Mr and Mrs.

The bride and groom will be given a complimentary suite on the day of their wedding, which will be made available from 11h00 and will allow the bride and groom to the opportunity  to enjoy the preparations of getting hair and make-up done in a relaxing environment.


Toadbury Hall Country Hotel is a premium wedding venue, yet we are able to offer you incredible value for money without any hidden costs. The venue hire varies depending on the perceived demand for the day you choose. If your heart is set on a Saturday in summer, this will attract the highest venue hire while a Friday or Sunday in summer are priced at a lower rate along with Saturdays in winter. Public Holidays and the day before public holidays attract higher rates due to their demand. This variation in venue hire means you will enjoy the lowest prices for a wedding on a weekday in winter and which is only surpassed in value by some of our great short notice specials.

Guest Accommodation

Toadbury Hall’s five-star accommodation is truly world class with five executive suites and five standard suites all offering exquisite finishes that provide an atmosphere of unpretentious country style and luxury, complemented by high levels of service.

Wedding guests are offered a discounted rate to stay over in hotel.  This creates a great atmosphere leading up to the celebration and allows time to connect with those special friends and family, both before and after your memorable wedding.

Special rates are available for wedding guests so that they can enjoy the wedding without having to worry about driving home.

For tantalising cuisine, our discerning guests are afforded the versatility of so much to choose from, be it a celebration of a memorable wedding or special occasion our banquet hall, a corporate business meeting or team build in our conference centre or a leisurely weekend outing at our fine dining restaurant, Bijou or Otter’s Deli, Badger’s Boma or WildWood Brasserie.

Our extensive menus are interchangeable to accommodate your personal requirements.

Annual food increases will be of immediate effect in January of each year for the year ahead. Menu prices remain subject to change due to economic factors during the course of the year and children under the age of twelve years will be charged 50% of the agreed adult menu price. Children under the age of five years will not be charged.

Should an outside caterer be used for specialized dietary requirements such as Kosher or Halaal catering for the entire function, a surcharge will apply. Please speak to your coordinator regarding the options available.

Decor by Spectacular Occasions

You have chosen your date, and dreamt of your special day so let Toadbury Hall’s in-house décor specialists set the scene of your fairytale wedding. Your décor is only limited to your imagination with endless décor option possibilities, which we can design on any theme from Gatsby to glamour and glitz. Situated at Toadbury Hall you save on time and budget as you will have your décor specialists at your disposal without having to travel in search of décor items and worry about the finer details. Our specialists will meet with you and have mock table set up sessions with you to set your mind at ease.


As we love our venue and are very sad to see our beautiful venue damaged, we restrict draping to Toadbury in-house draping specialists who take care not to damage any structures. There are a number of design options to choose from to fit in with your décor and themes, the various designs have endless add on opportunities such as fairy lights and lanterns.
